William (Bill) Beers is a seasoned technology leader and problem solver based in Cumming, Georgia. With decades of experience in enterprise IT, software development, and organizational leadership, Bill has built a career on transforming complex challenges into innovative solutions. His journey began in the U.S. Air Force, where he developed mission-focused software for critical operations. From there, he founded Actuated Technology, guiding businesses through digital transformation, and later served as Senior Software Engineer at EnviroSpark, where he advanced automation and cloud solutions to support sustainability in the energy sector. Bill also held the role of Chief Information Officer at Sales Arbiter, LLC, where he designed scalable IT systems and led technical modernization efforts for organizations focused on growth and sales strategy.
Today, Bill serves as Chief Operating Officer at BEACON, where he applies his deep technical expertise and leadership skills to a mission-driven cause. A veteran himself, Bill is committed to standing beside families of veterans and first responders who face devastating loss. His work focuses on building systems that are simple, effective, and compassionate—making it easier for families to find help and for donors to support BEACON’s mission. With a steady commitment to dignity, care, and community impact, Bill plays a key role in ensuring that BEACON provides a light of hope to families during their darkest hours.
Jack Gabriel is an accomplished technology leader, entrepreneur, and founding Board Member of BEACON, based in Westlake, OH. With more than four decades of experience, Jack has founded and scaled multiple technology companies to successful acquisition, built high-performing teams, and developed innovative solutions across healthcare, finance, and manufacturing. He has also served in leadership roles on advisory boards and as a director for organizations including Technology 4 Causes, Provato, Secant Technologies, Buffalo Green Energy Development Corporation, and the Children’s Interstitial Lung Disease (chILD) Foundation. In these roles, he provided strategic planning, governance, and fundraising expertise, helping nonprofits and businesses alike achieve sustainable growth and greater impact.
As a Vietnam Era U.S. Army veteran, Jack brings both professional expertise and personal dedication to his role at BEACON. Having served in a Medivac unit assisting wounded soldiers, he witnessed firsthand the challenges veterans face in recovery and reintegration. This experience has fueled his lifelong advocacy for veteran health, treatment, and skills training. As a founding board member, Jack leverages his track record of innovation, board leadership, and business development to help shape BEACON’s vision and mission. His strategic insight, nonprofit experience, and passion for service ensure that BEACON grows its outreach, strengthens donor engagement, and delivers meaningful aid to families of veterans and first responders in their most difficult times.
